Embracing change in your body and style in midlife
My body keeps changing. The jeans I just bought this past Fall are tight and I’m up a size even though I added a consistent pilates routine and I eat a vegetable forward mediterranean diet. I do drink, probably a bit too much :)
And I know I’m not alone. I hear the struggles from my close friends as well as women I work with. The bottom line is when your clothes don’t fit, it’s hard to get dressed. So what do you do?
I know this… as we age, we are constantly evolving. Instead of fighting it, what if we embraced it?
What if you….
Focused on how you feel, with nutrition and movement for the long journey.
Gave yourself permission to buy a few new things that makes you feel beautiful right now.
Took a moment to appreciate one thing you love about yourself.
I know it’s not always easy, but it’s a decision.
To feel good for all that you are right now. To being open to change and continuing to embrace the ever evolving you.
So when it comes to clothes that no longer fit you, take a moment to ask yourself if those are things you actually want to wear and represent who you are today. You might realize it’s time to let some things go. And if it’s something that you love but doesn’t fit or feel good right now, tuck it away and revisit it next year.
Here is something you can do right now… remove all the things in your closet that don’t fit you. And I mean both literally and figuratively. You might just see a wardrobe that is reflection of who you are today.
Because you’ve evolved.
And curating your wardrobe so you always have something you love to wear that fits who you are today allows you to live this chapter of your life to the fullest.
That’s what I’m doing and it feels really good.
If you are ready to go all in, let’s chat.
